St Andrews primary school

I am delighted to recommend Activ8 as a high performing sports coaching firm offering a wide range of opportunities to schools.

Dan Wilson, over the past few years has worked at St. Andrew’s, in a number of roles.  Children from Foundation Stages to Year 6 have benefitted from his firm’s coaching skills within their games lessons.  The National Curriculum for PE is delivered through carefully prepared lessons differentiated to all abilities from Level 1 though to Level 5 and beyond.  The firm are able to assess children’s needs and configure teaching methods accordingly.  As a result children are assessed accurately providing teachers, parents and forwarding skills with appropriate information about children’s progress and next step targets.  All games are taught in lessons which maximise the use of multi-skill development which ensures that children are active throughout each lesson, building on skills taught leading to an end game.

Activ8 provide after-school clubs to suit the needs of children, parents and the school.  Children of all ages are given expert tuition whilst enjoying the fun elements of taking part in team events.  School teams are also catered for and coaching can be provided for children with specific talents that need nurturing.  At St Andrew’s this has led to large numbers of children representing their school at a wide rage of sporting competitions within the local area and at county level.

The firm is well-equipped to provide support for additional school and out-of-school requirements.  Currently, two members of the firm organise sports activities for both key stages during lunchtimes.  Holiday and weekend activities are also offered with children and parents very pleased with the quality of training offered.  Activ8 is also looking at the possibilities of providing trained personnel to run non-sporting clubs.

Activ8 are committed to providing high quality sports provision and recognise the need for up-to-date training of all coaches.  The firm fulfils all safeguarding criteria and the need for insurance and public liability requirements.

We have found Activ8 and their coaches to be a versatile team offering high quality professional coaching and teaching for a range of sports and activities.

At Redhill we currently have Year 1 and 2 and Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 football clubs along with a Street Beatz after school club all of which are run by Activ8.  These clubs are attended by a large range of children and are very popular. The quality and professionalism shown by the team of coaches and their attention to detail whilst delivering after school provisions are second to none.

Parents are delighted with the service Activ8 offer the school with children really enjoying their clubs and enthusiastic to attend each week. All of the staff comply with safeguarding measures with appropriate insurance, DBS checks, qualifications and first aid certificates adding to their quality and professionalism.

As a Head Teacher I am pleased to recommend Activ8 based on the feedback and success of the clubs they run at Redhill Primary.
